YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

BBP_4298_edited.jpg

Welcome, friends! I'm Krystal (she/her).

I'm a big goofball that loves poutine, watching animal videos, travelling and spending time with my partner and my perfect weirdo of a dog, Roamin.

My family and my chosen family (friends) mean the world to me and I'm a proud Auntie to many wonderful babies.

Some quick facts:

  • A physiotherapist once discribed me as "athletically awkward"

  • I have a business degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies

  • I worked and volunteered in hospitals and community programming as a Recreation Therapist before pursing my full-time career in event management

  • My dream is to one day own a hobby farm filled with misfit creatures

  • I moved to the Waterloo region for university 15+ years ago and now call New Hamburg, ON my home

  • I love hiking, kayaking and exploring new places (especially to find new photo locations)

Origin story time:

When I was around 11 years old, someone told me I had a weird smile. I mean it was probably one of my classmates, but the comment stuck with me. After that, I stopped smiling with my teeth and feeling comfortable in front of the camera. It took me a long time to start to regain that confidence and have even been told in recent years that I now smile 'too big' (because apparently that's somehow bad, too?).

I started Bright and Boundless Photography in 2022 because I want to create experiences where people can show up and be their true selves. In a world with wildly unrealistic beauty standards, I want to capture you as you are and for you to feel amazing in front of the camera.

I will guide you in a way that doesn't feel posed and give you natural and genuine photographs that you will want to cherish for years to come. Be prepared to show up to go on a little adventure, be goofy, and dare I say, smile 'too big.'
